As industry experts, we know the impact home improvement projects can have on the environment. Sustainability is complex and it’s generally not possible to produce a product free from impacts. That’s why we want to empower our customers with better information so they can make more informed choices.

We think everyone deserves a healthy, efficient home.
One that's comfortable to live in, but uses fewer resources and costs less to run.
It's why we've been focused on reducing the environmental impact of our products by creating products that are made from reduced impact materials or processes, or designed to help people live with a reduced impact.
We know our customers are thinking about the planet when they're shopping.
But they find it hard to identify which products can help them lower their impact.
So, to help make it easier to navigate and shop for products with a lower impact on the environment, we've created the Green Star Product Marker.
The Green Star Marker points to these products in-store and online.
For example, on shower heads that reduce the flow to save water, LED light bulbs that save energy, toolboxes that are partially made from old plastic and recycled materials.
And on paints with less harmful chemicals which can help reduce air pollution.
We'll keep working hard to help our customers make more informed choices by guiding them to help reduce the environmental impacts of home improvement.
